Well, I wasn't even going to make a post after our last doctor's appointment because it was so uneventful, but Brian asked very nicely, so... here it is. Basically, things are still looking just the same: blood pressure is still normal, Noah is still head down and his heart is beating away, my hands are still FAR too swollen to think about wearing rings, and the heat index here in Houston has still been upwards of 110 degrees every day with no rain in sight. The upside of this, as Brian pointed out, is I have my first guilt trip to use on Noah when he becomes a mouthy teenager: "I carried you through the hottest summer in Houston history!" I'm going to file that one away for use in about 15 years! I really can't complain much, though, because I'm actually still feeling pretty great.
The one significant difference in this appointment was how noncommital our doctor was about when Noah will arrive. Two appointments ago, he was firm about not letting me go past my due date and anticipating an arrival about a week to ten days early. This time, he took much more of a "wait and see" attitude than before. He is still saying we won't go past August 19th, but he's not commenting one way or another yet about potentially inducing early. We are fine either way, but the control freak in me would like to have an idea of how this is all going to happen!
Other than that, we continue to prepare our lives and our house for a BABY (still so hard to believe!). We have a long "to-do" and "to-buy" list, which we're going to work on this weekend after our fifth and final baby shower at Brian's work this Thursday. My belly continues to grow grow grow, and has started to invite comments like, "Hey, you're about to pop! Don't have that baby here at Kroger/the office/wedding reception/etc! Hahahah..." I don't really mind the comments, but it's funny how people think they're the first person to ever say anything like that to a pregnant woman.
We also have an appointment for an ultrasound on Thursday morning, which should give us at least a bit more indication of what we're dealing with. Hopefully a more exciting and informative update to come after that!

An uneventful update is a good one! Isn't it funny how the doctor changes his mind about how long to wait! My doctor did the same thing. Just be patient. You know you won't be pregnant with Noah next summer...he's gonna come before that!
