It's (more or less) official...

We're having a BOY!!!

We went for our ultrasound yesterday morning, and the baby looked like he was NOT going to cooperate... he had his legs crossed and tucked underneath him in the worst possible position for determining the sex. Thank goodness our ultrasound technician was patient! She wiggled my belly a little to get him to move and was able to get a very quick glimpse between the legs before he crossed them again. She told us she's positive that it's a boy, but to tell everyone that she's 80% sure until we can get a picture that's so clear even we can tell what we're looking at.

In addition to seeing what we came to see, we were also able to see how much he has grown and developed over the past few weeks. Our technician -- her name is Anne -- told us that everything that's going to be part of the baby (i.e. organs, bones, eyeballs, etcetera) is already in place and will just continue to grow and develop over the next five and a half months. It's truly a miracle to see the tiny bones in the hands and feet, and the tiny little heart pumping away.

Also, we might have a thumb-sucker on our hands! He had his thumb out and although he never quite made it fully into his mouth, he kept it near his face almost the whole time. Anne said that at this stage, it's not uncommon for babies to suck their thumbs in the womb. Incredible!

We're welcoming boy name suggestions... Brian and I are at a standstill right now :)
