18 weeks and counting

(Disclaimer: I know these posts are getting a little boring without any pictures to break up my rambling text -- I promise we will try to add some pics this weekend!)

Well, we are 18 weeks pregnant today, just two weeks shy of HALFWAY done with this pregnancy! Unbelievable. As I explained to my good friend Lauren yesterday, I think I've been so wrapped up in the day-to-day events and anxieties of being pregnant that I haven't really let my mind wander past August 19th. It's just been the past few days that I've realized how much we have to do in the next few months to get ready for a new baby. And since I don't have a free weekend until May 9th (can you believe that??), I'm not sure when we're going to clean out Noah's room or pick out bedding or paint or register for gifts or take childbirth classes.... I'm trying not to let myself panic right now, even though I think August will be here before we know it.

We had our second OB appointment last week, and everything is looking great. My stomach measured 17 cm, which was perfect since I was exactly 17 weeks at the time. Hopefully that means Noah is growing at a good pace and won't be an exceptionally BIG or small baby! The appointment was pretty uneventful, which is exactly what we were hoping for. We'll see our doctor again three weeks from today on April 8th, right before Easter.
